Magical Mystery Camp

Exploring the Music of The Beatles

Music Masters Collective, The Fab Faux and RPM Music School are delighted to announce and present Magical Mystery Camp at Full Moon Resort in Big Indian, New York (just a half hour west of Woodstock).

At Magical Mystery Camp we'll kick off the summer by sharing our love for the music of the Beatles ~ with performances, interactive workshops, teaching clinics and songwriting explorations... accompanied by plentiful on-stage jamming with the attendees (you!), acoustic and electric jam rooms for all to join in on with backline equipment provided, open mics and song-circles around the campfires.  So, if you're a musician, bring your instrument and learn from and jam with grand masters, The Fab Faux and their special guests. If you're simply a music lover, bring your good spirit!  We plan to have some Very Big Fun...

Full Moon Resort is a one-hundred-acre wonderland of fields, meadows and mountain streams - featuring country-inn style accommodations, luxury cottages, glamping, gourmet dining, a variety of beautiful barns, the artistically rustic Rock n’ Roll Roadhouse  and the spectacular new Moondance Pavilion, home to scores of great Music Masters Collective performances

The event is anchored by host artist The Fab Faux with their brilliant interpretations of the legendary music of the Beatles.  Jimmy Vivino, Jack Petruzzelli, Will Lee, Rich Pagano and Frank Agnello are simply the very best at what they do… and they look forward to an up-close and personal connection with you at this musical rendezvous in the Catskills.

An all-star cast of special guests will join in on the festivities at Magical Mystery Camp,  including legendary guitarist, Earl Slick, known for his work with David Bowie and John Lennon (Double Fantasy) and with scores of other rock illuminatii… John Sebastian, iconic Woodstocker and Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame inductee and founder of The Lovin’ Spoonful… along with May Pang, music executive and companion to and author of “John Lennon – The Lost Weekend”… Joe Louis Walker, Blues Hall of Fame member and guitarist for some of the greatest blues bands of all time…and Cindy Cashdollar, Woodstock’s slide enchantress.  In addition to performances by The Fab Faux with these special guests, the event will feature a smokin’ dance party with Toombs Dixon– celebrating the birth of rock n’ roll and early Beatles influences – with Rich Pagano and Jack Petruzzelli from The Fab Faux, joined by Jay Collins (Gregg Allman Band) and Peter Yarin (Nighthawks.)  A number of authors, educators and Beatles-scholars will also be on site, including Walter Everett, Ken Womack and Cameron Greider.

Please join us for three days and nights in celebration of the music of the Beatles, which we treasure so deeply - and of the community of wonderful folks who love it most (including some great friends of yours, that you have not yet met!) at Full Moon Resort!  Registration is limited to about 100 persons, so please don’t hesitate.

Magical Mystery Camp promises to be both a once-in-a-lifetime interactive, educational, music-vacation experience...  and a ton of wonderful fun!  We're looking forward to hanging and playing with you at this magical event! See you there!

The Fab Faux

With a commitment to the accurate reproduction of The Beatles' repertoire, The Fab Faux treat the seminal music with unwavering respect, and are known for their painstaking recreations of the songs (with emphasis on the later works never performed live by the Beatles).  Far beyond a cover band, they play the music of The Beatles so impeccably that one must experience it to believe it. Imagine hearing complex material like "Strawberry Fields Forever" or "I Am the Walrus" performed in complete part-perfect renditions; or such harmony-driven songs as "Because", "Nowhere Man", and "Paperback Writer", reproduced not only note- for-note, but with extra vocalists to achieve a double-tracked effect.
